no no no, take a section of brown paper bag (about 1" by 1"), lick it and stick it on your forehead. It works, I swear... though I doubt you still have those hiccups.
breathing into a paper bag is the only thing that, as far as I know, has any remote scientific basis for working. but mine went away after a while, and I didn't have a bag anyway.
